Our days are getting shorter and crispier, while the color of the leaves are getting brighter. I love this time of year, because it's like living in a box of crayons. The beauty at times is breathtaking. I can't imagine living in a part of the world that doesn't experience a change in seasons.
Folks from all over come to New England during what we call the "leaf peeper season". People like me wake up in the morning and rush to the window to get a view of the newest masterpiece God has created overnight with his mighty paint brush. Such beauty is astounding!
Fall is a time of gathering; reaping what you have sewn over the summer months. A time to harvest all of your hard work, so that your family can be fed over the long winter months. There's something so satisfying in that. It's like a big, warm hug from mother nature.
The only complaint I have about the fall season, is that it is way too short. If only it's beauty lasted as long as winter!
Blessings,
Julie

Hi Julie, Your fall pictures are beautiful! Such brilliant colors. It's nice to read your feelings about this season, too. We are still pretty green here......it is raining again today. I may make another apple pie later.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Mmmmm! Apple pie sounds so yummy!
DeleteLove your pictures. I took a bunch last week. Need to get them posted.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I can't wait to see your pictures. Robin and I took the roosters to Sunnyside yesterday. I missed hearing them crow this morning.
