We are over halfway through our spring session. That is so hard to believe!
Maybe spring will come quicker for us??
This week we made
Punched Tin Dry Erase Boards.
These were made using old picture frames. You can use any size you like.
First we prepped and painted our frames.
Then we cut a piece of flashing to fit the frame and traced our design on it.
Once that was done, everyone went to work punching their designs using screwdrivers, awls, or nails.
The flashing is made of aluminum, so it's not hard to work with at all.
The smaller frames would look great with a nice quote written on them, or you could even paste a photo in the center.
There are so many ideas you could think up.
A menu board
A today's to-do list board
Grocery list board
A chore list board
or
Hang it on your child's bedroom door for messages.
You are only limited by your imagination!
Great job ladies!
Blessings,
Julie
GREAT IDEAL. i WILL BE COPING THIS ONE!
ReplyDeleteI consider that a very nice compliment! I can't wait to see your design!! They are really fun to do and once you learn how to punch tin, you can do so much more. I replaced a glass door with the punched tin on a small cabinet in my dining room and LOVE IT! I can't wait to see your creation.
