Someday House Update….

fall saltbox

Things with the house are really moving along. Our loan was approved on Tuesday, the appraisal guy was here yesterday to look at all the blueprints and land, AND the ground work will start in about 3 weeks! We are so filled with excitement! It seems like everything moved all at once this week, but I’m not going to complain! This has been a long time coming!

Our "Someday House", as we refer to it, has been in the dream stage since Feb. 2003. The blueprints and style of the house have changed a bit over the past few years, but the dream of a new home never has.

I'll be sure to keep posting as things moves along. We pray the rain will not put a damper on the ground work schedule, but mother nature has the last say on that one.

From the beginning Joe and I have prayed that God's will be done, and we have definitely felt His hand at work in all of this. We continue to pray for His blessings, and to always remain in His will throughout this wonderful process.

Thank you for stopping by.....

Blessings,
Julie

  1. I pray God's will be done and I have a feeling this is going to be it!!! Sounds like things are moving right along. I hope you do let us in on the building and decorating part of it. It looks like it will be beautiful. Dreams do come true!

  2. Thank you. I'm kind of at that point of not daring to think about it too much, for fear something will happen. I have to keep in mind that God is in control though, and just let my insecurities go.

I'll definitely be taking pictures as we go along. No worries on that!

  4. Yes, the house above is a pretty good idea of what we hope to have when all is said and done. I found this picture on the internet and couldn't believe how well it matched the one we are building. Don't you wish you could just take a tour of it? I could spend the whole day looking at the interiors of homes. This one looks so cozy. I bet you could come up with a great story!
    Blessings,

  6. Thanks, Janice! I was told the other day that we were going to lose our mind at least 3 times during this whole process. Lets hope not!
