How has your week been? Ours has been busy and full of grandchildren. I love when they call and on the other end of the phone I hear, "Meme, I just need you". Something I never tire of hearing!
On Friday Piper and I started the day at the Menonite bakery buying some homemade donuts and cranberry pecan bread. This has become our Friday tradition together. Then she and her dad and I did a bit of shopping. When school got out, we picked up her brother and headed home. They tell me that tomorrow (Saturday) we have to make cookies....pumpkin ones! I can't wait!
Well, I thought that since I did a fall giveaway, I really should do a winter one, too. I have a special little someone just waiting for a home. His name is Willie.

Isn't he cute? He is 12" tall and his nose is 3 1/2" long. He's pretty heavy, too. His bottom is weighted to keep him sitting nice and tall. To win Willie all you have to do is be a member of my blog or become a new one, don't worry your information will not be shared. Then just leave me a comment telling me all about your favorite Christmas memory. I just love this time of year and I'm sure you have lots of stories to share, but it'll only take one to put yourself in the drawing.
I love getting comments from all my readers and really appreciate you taking the time to read my ramblings.
You have until midnight on Friday~December 7 to enter. I will announce the winner on Saturday. Best of luck to everyone!
Blessings,
Julie
I don't think I have a favorite Christmas memory but growing up my grandparents owned the ski-area, and gramp always felt we needed to be opened so all the kids who got new skis could go sking so most of my Christmas's were spent on the slopes or working as I got older.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest snowman ever! Oh I have a lot of happy Christmas memories but I keep going back to one Christmas I was given by my god mother a flannel nightgown that had a matching one for my doll. I loved it! Please enter me in your giveaway and I hope you have a great weekend!
xoxo
Oh my...Willie is a cutie and I would love a chance to win him. Some of my favorite memories of Christmas include heading to my Grandparents' homes, opening the door to the wonderful smells of dinner cooking..opening gifts and enjoying the warmness of family togetherness.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
We would go to Christmas Eve mass, then after we would go to my Grandparents' to give them their gifts. Than we would go back home, with excitement for Santa to come that night. We were also always able to open up ONE gift before we would head to bed. Once we finally fell asleep, morning soon came. We would have to have our pictures taken in front of the Christmas tree with the gifts that we had received from "Santa". The whole family would later gather at our house for Christmas dinner. Boy, how I miss those days! *with tears in my eyes* Thank you for letting me get the chance to share my memories with you. Merry Christmas

Hello Julie.. So many Christmas memories in this old gal's life but perhaps when I was a child and after opening our gifts we all walked down the lane to the interval to visit with my grandparents and uncles and aunts ...
ReplyDeleteIf only we could do that again, eh? But time goes on...
I love Willie... xo
Hi Julie, I am a fairly new follower (thanks to Faye Henry :)), I love her so much. I think Willie is so cute and he would look so good on my kitchen table. Christmas is a family time for use for sure. On Christmas Eve we all gather at my parents house to have chowder and play catch up from different events that have taken place all year. It is a time to be thankful that is for sure.

Hi Julie, Sorry to be so late. It has been another hectic week and also, I have so many favorite memories floating around in my head....that I did not know what to write about. I guess my favorite memory is when my maternal Grandma and Grandpa gave me a child's dinner set of Blue Willow. Both my cousin, Jill and I received one. I was so surprised and happy. I still have that little set. My cousin has passed on but her daughter has her set now. I don't think I could ever part with it. G and G always gave us something special but this really touched my heart.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little we had a tradition of putting the tree up while listenting to John Denver and the Muppet on 8 track. I now have it on CD and still put the tree up while listening too it. Until this year my dad and I also sat on the couch together and watched Fosty the Snowman and Rudolph together. He is in florida this Christmas. So many memories and so little space. I will very much miss my parents this Christmas it just will not be the same.
